Providing Quality Service Since 1972
There are several important issues to evaluate when considering having a company start work on your property
What is the company’s history? -
Gatley Glass is a family business and we have been trading since 1972. We specialize in fitting high quality windows and doors, all types of glazing and carrying out remedial repairs for domestic and commercial clients. We are also glass merchants, glass processors and hardware suppliers.
Who would be undertaking the work on my property? –
All our fitters are directly employed by Gately Glass; we do not use sub-contract labour. They have extensive experience of PVCu installations and take pride in carrying out their work to a high standard and in a professional manner.
What happens to the old materials removed from the site? –
Gatley Glass will remove all old materials and make sure the work area is clean and tidy. In accordance with our environmental policy we seek to ensure that, where possible, old materials are recycled.
What industry accreditation does the company have? –
Gatley Glass is long standing members of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF). The GGF is the recognised leading authority within the flat glass, glazing, window, and home improvement industries in the UK. All members of the GGF work to A Code of Good Practice and to the Technical Standards laid out in the Federation's Glazing Manual. We are also accredited with FENSA, thus ensuring that the windows comply with Building Regulations. Gatley Glass are also registered with the Government endorsed Trustmark scheme thus providing a level of assurance that we are a reputable and trustworthy company.
What guarantee do I get? –
All frames fitted by Gatley Glass come with a 10 year guarantee. In addition to the frame and the glass, the guarantee includes all handles, hinges, and locking mechanisms for the full 10year period. This guarantee is insurance backed giving you complete peace of mind.
Do I need Planning Permission? –
The installation of replacement window and door frames requires Building Control consent. This can either be done by applying for Planning Consent through the Local Authority or to engage an accredited company to undertake the installation. Gatley Glass is accredited through FENSA for the installation of replacement windows and doors. Once the installation has been completed a certificate will be issued confirming that the installation has been registered with the appropriate Local Authority.
Security in a company that has been around for over 40 years, never gone bust and honours all guarantees!
Having a team working on your project that are fully employed by Gatley Glass and all have excellent NVQ level training.
Unfortunately we don't have training in high impact sales techniques such as quoting 10x the original amount and dropping it to make the sale sound great. We quote a fair competitive quotation first time.
As a family run company we would not install or complete any work on our customers properties that we wouldn't have on our own homes.
We are straight forward and transparent and believe in making sure all customers are treated with courtesy and respect.
